ART AT THE HEART OF Café Monet

Where Food, Art, and Community Come Together

Art

Food

Community

Situated at the heart of the McLean Project for the Arts Berlage Arts & Education Center, Café Monet welcomes guests into a space where food, conversation, and creativity naturally intersect - an extension of MPA’s mission to connect art and community.

Created in partnership with MPA and KNEAD Hospitality + Design, Café Monet reflects a shared commitment to thoughtful hospitality and cultural engagement. KNEAD’s expertise in creating vibrant, design-forward dining experiences complements MPA’s longstanding role as a leader in contemporary arts programming, resulting in a café fully integrated into the life of this dynamic arts center.

The name Café Monet is more than a tribute - it reflects a philosophy inspired by Claude Monet’s life at Giverny, where dining, conversation, and creativity were part of everyday living. Café Monet aspires to bring that same spirit to McLean: a place to gather, connect, and experience art in a meaningful, everyday way.

Proceeds from Café Monet directly support the mission of McLean Project for the Arts, a 501c(3) nonprofit, who have served the Mid-Atlantic region since 1962 with exhibitions, education programs, and community outreach.

We thank the Monett Family for their vision in bringing this space to life and recognize the role of the McLean Revitalization Corporation in forging this partnership.
